Coating Technologies
Large-scale systems are produced by Edwards. Applications range from architectural glass, automotive windows, optical lenses and mirrors for photocopiers to enhanced-visibility computer screens, flat panel displays and compound semiconductors. Edwards sells coating deposition systems to the compound semiconductor market (optoelectronic devices) under the brand name 'Temescal'. The recent acquisition of Intellemetrics adds on-tool monitoring and control instrumentation for vacuum deposition and etch processes.
