| Ambient Air Vaporizers Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, Hydrogen |
Ambient air vaporizerseither the conventional finned or Ice-RackTM design are used in conjunction with cryogenic storage tanks to convert liquid to gas, as required by the process. These units vaporize liquid efficiently and economically using natural convective heat from surrounding air, rather than a supplementary heat source or power supply such as steam or electricity.
Designed with no moving parts, the units are largely maintenance free. In addition, their modular lightweight designs allow for easy installation. Units may be arranged in multiple banks, in parallel, or in series patterns. |
| Benefits |
- No moving parts make these units essentially maintenance free.
- No supplementary heat source or power supply means economical operation.
- Versatile, modular design means units can be arranged in multiple banks, in parallel, or in series patterns.
|
| Conventional Finned Vaporizer |
The fin configuration increases surface area, allowing for maximum vaporizer capacity in a minimal amount of space. |
|
Features |
| Standard |
- All-aluminum, welded and finned construction.
- Maximum allowable working pressure of 450 psig.
- Low pressure drop
|
| Optional |
- Stainless steel lining for service up to 6000 psig
- Automatic switching valve to allow for defrosting of parallel units

*Rated for 8 hours of continuous service at 70 oF and 70% relative humidity. Performance varies with ambient temperature, humidity, flow, duty cycles, winds, solar radiation, freeze period, altitude, defrosting intervals, operating pressure and proximity to adjacent structures. A minimum of 2-3 ft clearance around each vaporizer is recommended. |
|
| Ice-Rack or Bare Pipe Vaporizer |
Ice-Rack or bare pipe vaporizers are used in high -or continuous- flow applications in front of conventional finned vaporizers to protect them from ice buidup and allow maximum gas through-put before defrost. |
 |
Features |
| Standard |
- Aluminum pipe construction.
- Surface geometry of open no-fin design facilitates natural frost shedding and accelerates the defrost rate.
- Maximum allowable working pressure of 400 psig.
- Low pressure drop.
